Obituary

Charlie was born in Walla Walla Washington on April 2, 1937, the 5th of five children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles V. and Martha Herrin and by three siblings, Howard and George Herrin, Mildred Garrett. He is survived byu one sister, Cora Russell. He is also survived by his two sons: Jeff JoyHerrin and their two daughters Ellie and Anneka and also by his second son Andy. Charlie also had numerous nieces and nephews. Charles graduated from Wa-Hi in 1955. He attended WSU for three years and graduated from EWU in 1963. He also spent two years ni the Army and was honorably discharged in 1962. In 1963, Charlie met and married Nancy Post. They were divorced in 1979; however Charlie remained in close contact with Nancy and her husband Mike Smith. Charlie leaves many, many friends from the high school class, from his years at Pasco Buffet, from the hours he spent with the "mall walkers", from his assoicates through his punchboards business, from sponsorships of sports teams slo-pitch softball, basket ball, flag football and fishing trips and other outing too numerous to mention. Charlie always greeted people with a smile and a firm hand shake; he welcomed people from all walks of life and he had a great sense of humor. A memorial potluck will be held at American Legion in Pasco at 1029 Sylvester on Saturday July 28, 2012 at 2:00pm. Comin join us and bring your favorite "Charlie" story to share with the group. Charlie will be sorely missed by everyone.
