Obituary

Gary Dean Kirk, 46, of Kennewick, died June 3, 2006 as the result of a drowning accident near Wanawish Dam, WA. He left this world doing what he loved most- kayaking. Gary was born April 16, 1960 in Eugene, Oregon to parents, James F. and Emilie Gail Coe Kirk. Gary has lived in the Tri-Cities for the last 15 years. He worked as a carpenter for Northwest Restoration. He was a member of the Christian Church. Gary is survived by his children, Janelle E. Baker and Aaron D. Baker; mother and stepfather, Emilie and Don Faul, Kennewick, WA; father and stepmother, James F. and Beverly Kirk, grandparents, Sara and Ed Tuffy Horn; Vernetta Kirk, Junction City, OR; sister and brother-in-law, Jaimie L and Harold Olsen; brothers, Tye E. Coleman, Burbank, WA; Tim S. Coleman, Kennewick, WA; Scott Kirk, Eugene, OR; brother and sister-in law, James F Ogg and Tamie Kirk, Harrisburg, OR; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins, too many to list. He also leaves behind many dear friends, and one special friend, Rose McCool. Gary is preceded in death by his sister, Darcie G. Kirk; and Grandpa, Francis Kirk. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 17, at Hillcrest Memorial Center, 9353 West Clearwater Ave., Kennewick. An additional service to be held in Junction City, Oregon, where Gary grew up. It will be held July 8, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Junction City Nazarene Church, 1715 West 1st Street.
