Obituary

Ina Jean Dale, age 92, passed away on September 7, 2006 at the Kennewick Life Care Center. Ina was born in Sydney, Australia, on October 22, 1913, and grew up the daughter of a sea captain on the docks of Sydney Harbour. She met and married Don Dale and moved to Kennewick in 1952. With her afternoon tea, love of crumpets and an occasional cold beer, she remained an Auzzie to the very end, never losing her infectious accent. She was a loving wife and mother. As a widow with young children, Ina worked at Kennewick General Hospital as a housekeeper. Ina loved knitting and for many years each baby born at Kennewick General wore home a pair of handmade booties, crafted by Ina's hands.�She had a travel partner, Ida, and they saw the world as true adventurers. After retirement, Ina remained involved in the Ladies auxiliary at Kennewick General. She loved taking care of the grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Madge and Rodney Boulton of Uraidla, South Australia, her son and wife Troy and Elizabeth Dale of Kennewick, Washington, her son Gerome Dale of Lynnwood, Washington, her daughter and husband Keri and Tim Brumley of Concrete, Washington.� Her grandchildren are Wayne, Shauna, Terri, Monique, Roy, Ron, Trisha, Nicole, Brandon, Colin and Sydney. She also leaves two sisters, Molly Hobbs and Glory Simpson, a brother , Laddie McKenzie, all living in Australia. Ina was preceded in death by her mother Cordelia, father Alexander, husband Don Dale, and daughters Dawn Wiprud and Laurna Contreras. A memorial service honoring Ina's life will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Center, 9353 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick, WA.
