JERE (JERALDINE B.) MARTIN Jere Martin, 84 years of age and resident of Kennewick, WA, passed away at home on December 9, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 8, 1936 in Jackson, Butts Co., Georgia to Rebecca Lois Benton. Jere graduated from Munich American High School in Germany. Her greatest accomplishments were raising her son, David Sparks, and her 42 years of marital bliss to her husband, Earl Martin. Jere retired from Westinghouse Hanford in 1994, having started her career at Hanford with General Electric. She was an avid bowler and golfer, but her favorite past time was watching the Mariners. Everyone knew not to call or stop by when the Mariners were on. Jere and Earl traveled to Maui 30 years in a row, some of her most cherished memories. Jere is survived by her husband Earl, her youngest sister Annette Hudon; her son David (Rosie) Sparks; stepson Darren Martin; stepdaughter Brenda (Matt) Chilton, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, her sisters Barbara Speer and Mona Lindgren, and her stepson Marty Martin. The family is eternally grateful for the loving care provided by Hospice at the Chaplaincy and Home Instead Senior Care.
