Jimmie Lee Snedden, age 53, of Walla Walla, WA passed away at home on August 24, 2007. He was born May 14, 1954 in Odessa, WA to Dolores Golden & John Earl Snedden. He was born the 4th of 7 children. Hewas raised by his mother & step-father Lloyd. He went to Elementary school in Sunnyside and High School in Moses Lake. Jim loved photography and took his camera with him when he joined the Army during the Viet Nam War. He was stationed in Berlin, Germany where he became a diesel mechanic. He sent many pictures home of places that his siblings may never experience first hand. Jim was a loner, preferring his personal space. Jimmiewas a caregiver for disabled and elderly, comforting them, taking time for a game of checkers or just listening. Jim never married, but shared his latter years with Linda Scribner. She never left his side during his illness, giving all she had to making sure his final wishes were taken care of. Jimmie?s mother, Dolores ?Dee? Joan McDowell, father, John Snedden, Sr and stepdad, Lloyd Golden preceded him in death. Jimmie is survived by is soul mate, Linda Scribner; sisters, Judy Leland Senn; Teona Bruce Stemp; Jackie Marshal; Renee? Chafin; and brothers, John Snedden and Randy Golden, all of the Tri-Cities; 23 nieces and nephews; many friends and his beloved cat ?Tornato?.
Graveside services will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union St. Kennewick on Thursday, August 30, at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Walla Walla Hospice, 1607 E. Isaacs Ave. Walla Walla, WA 99362
