John Mobley, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called by the Lord Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Born May 25, 1933 in Gillingham, England, John immigrated to America in 1960. In New York he met the woman who would become the love of his life, Eva Munro. Married in 1968, they lived in various locations across the nation before finally settling down in Kennewick, Washington, where they lived for the past 35 years. As an electrical engineer, John worked in numerous power producing facilities, including construction of the nuclear power plant in Russellville, Arkansas, the Hanford Nuclear Site and the Grant County PUD Wanapum dam.
John was devoted to his wife and family. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and spent much of his retirement assisting with his grandson Trevor's appointments and schooling with whom he shared a special bond. John enjoyed church functions with Eva and social gatherings with their friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Henry John Mobley and Gladys Louise Clark Mobley and his beloved wife, Eva. He is survived by his brother Michael Mobley and his wife Margaret, daughter Karen Mobley, son John Mobley and his wife Denise, as well as 3 grandchildren - Dane, Arielle, and Trevor.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 10th at Parish of the Holy Spirit.
