Kyle Byrd, age 20, of Kahlotus, WA died at home on January 22, 2008. Kyle was born April 20, 1987 in Kennewick, and has lived in Kahlotus his entire life.
Kyle was employed as a conductor/switchman for the BNST Railway. He was a member of the United Transportation Union/Pasco Local.
Kyle loved deer-hunting, camping in the mountains and cutting firewood with his Grandpa Lawrence. He loved riding his dirt bike; jet skiing, snow boarding and mud bogging. Most of all he loved driving and working on his Dodge 4x4 Diesel truck.
Kyle is survived by his dad Phil Byrd, mom Sherrie Byrd of Kahlotus; sister Jaclyn Byrd, Kennewick; and nephew Baby Carson; the love of his life, Lacy "Lucy" Van Hollebeke and her parents Rod and Monica, Kahlotus; Uncle Dan Chris Byrd, Red Bluff, CA; Aunt Elaine Larry Dietrich, Burbank, WA; Aunt Marcia Turner, Richland, WA; Grandmother Ruth Don Joersz, Kahlotus; Grandfather, Lawrence Carson and grandmother Josie Carson, Kahlotus; Uncle Shane and wife Charlene Carson; cousins, Michael Carson, Matthew Carson, Eli Carson, Jessica Carson, Ty and Brooke Byrd, Red Bluff, CA; Larry Dietrich, Houston, TX; Cheryl Terry DeFever, Pasco; Erica Turner, Richland; Uncle Larry Carson; numerous aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather Ralph Byrd, Los Banos, CA.
There will be held a Memorial Ceremony on Friday, January 25, at the Kahlotus High School Gymnasium at 4:00 p.m. with a pot luck to follow.
