Mary "Virginia" Petty passed away on January 4, 2023, in Kennewick, Washington, she was 97 years old. She was born on March 19, 1925, in Central City, Kentucky, to Charles and Myrtle Petty.

Virginia was a homemaker and also worked as a legal secretary for the L.A. County Courts. She has lived in Kennewick for the past year and a half.

Virginia enjoyed music; being a pianist, organist and soloist. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, crocheting, and exploring back roads.

Virginia is survived by six of her nine children, Marty (Thomas) Froelich, Glenda Flowers, Janet (Ron Beck) Cunningham, Kathleen (Larry) Cooper, Patrick Cunningham, and Maureen (Jim Johnson) Cunningham; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters Patricia Cunningham, Tiffany (Anne Marie) Lohman and Gail Cunningham.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 am,  at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (Little Chapel) 520 Garfield, Kennewick, WA.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made the American Cancer Society.
