On June 23, 2009 Sherryl Roth passed away after losing her battle with coronary disease
Sherryl was born April 12, 1939 to Luther and Helen Stringfellow in West Covina, California. She met and married Navy Petty Officer David Roth in 1958. As a Navy wife she raised four children, went to college, occasionally worked part time, coached youth sports, and did ceramics and gardening all while moving around the U.S. and overseas in support of her husband's career. Following divorce she found a career as a Navy civilian working in the logistics and accounting fields at Naval Submarine Base Bangor until her retirement in 2002. In retirement she enjoyed doing needlework, reading, gardening, enjoying family, and going on road trips visiting all the Pacific Northwest places she found so beautiful.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon Moore. Surviving family include daughters, Patricia Lehman of Silverdale, Theresa Duvall Robert of Kennewick, and Linda Sands of Oceanside, CA; son Kenneth Roth of Kennewick; brother Michael Nigro of Arkansas; and grandchildren Crystal, Brandon, Eric, Emily, Christopher, Robert, Justine, and Cory.
No services will be held. At her request her ashes will be spread over Mt. Rainier in a private ceremony. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
