Alan Harold Gerard was born in Sunnyside, Washington January 27, 1954 to Harold and Shirley Gerard. After the tragic death of his parents in 1963, he lived with his aunt and uncle, Barbara and Bus Iverson and cousins Doug and Becky. Alan graduated from Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Washington in 1972. He attended Eastern Washington University. He worked several jobs throughout his life, eventually retiring from the Handford Nuclear Reservation. He loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, skiing, hiking, and camping. When his daughter Ryan was born in 1985, Alan's life changed forever. He was a loving and devoted father, sadly Ryan passed away in 2021. Alan fought a courageous battle against cancer, but passed away August 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Ryan and sister Peggy Lund. He is survived by his sister, Jeannie Cain, his longtime partner Denise Mead and daughter Sarah Meadow Westenskow, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
