Andrew Ross Luttrell was born June 26, 1985 in Richland, Washington to Stuart Paul Luttrell and Marilee Luttrell. Our loving savior Jesus Christ welcomed Andrew home on April 21, 2017 at the age of 31, and freed him from the troubles of this world. We know he is with our Lord. Andrew is survived by his parents, Stuart and Marilee; brother Jeff (Krystle) and nephew Noah; brother Matthew (Rebecca); and sister Amy (Aaron Biondolillo). Andrew grew up in Kennewick, Washington and graduated from Kamiakin High School in 2003. He most recently worked at Starbucks and Adventures Underground. Andrew was home-schooled through seventh grade, attended Liberty Christian School, Kamiakin High School, and Columbia Basin College, where he earned an Associate's degree. As a child, he was always drawing and writing stories. He was gifted musically and played piano for several years and had, as one adjudicator wrote, a "golden touch." He played saxophone in middle school and high school and sang in choir at Kamiakin High. In his teen years, he was in a Christ-centered drama group called King's Theater, where he met and grew close to several lifetime friends. Andrew played guitar and bass guitar on worship teams at Columbia Foursquare Church (including the River and Breakthrough youth churches) and at Crossview Community Church. Andrew joined his brother Jeff in the band Felix Amo, where he played bass guitar and keyboard. He later helped to start the band Run From Cover (currently Indo Lux). His passion and gift for music were evident throughout his life. Andrew was a significant person in the lives of numerous co-workers, customers, fellow music-lovers and others with his genuine love, kindness, gentleness, and unassuming, witty humor. He lit up a room with his presence, smile, and laugh. Andrew loved people and had a true concern for others, but he also carried and worked through many personal burdens during his life. The recent event was too much for his tender heart to bear. A friend said, "Gentle souls have a harder time, their kindness and compassion often reaches everyone but themselves." Another wrote, "Andrew, I'm so glad you finally have a full revelation of the grace of God that has always been yours. I'm glad you finally see what He and the rest of us always did. #gracewins" We (his family) truly appreciate the encouragement and love from everyone, and the numerous posts that testify to Andrew's positive influence. It is healing and inspiring to know his life touched others and made a difference in this world. Thank you.
