Antonio Duarte Chavez, 63, of the Tri-Cities area, passed away on August 21, 2026, in Richland, Washington. He was born on August 3, 1963, in Ensenada, California, to Martha Chavez Placencia and Antonio Duarte. Antonio called the Tri-Cities home for 49 years and worked as a general contractor. He was also a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Antonio found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He had a generous heart and a deep desire to help others. He supported foster care sponsorships, helped orphaned children in Mexico, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in his community.
In his free time, Antonio enjoyed playing pool, listening to oldies music, fishing, camping, and traveling. He especially loved trips to the beach and road trips, where he could explore, relax, and make lasting memories with his loved ones. He also had an appreciation for classic cars.
Antonio will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for his family, and the many memories he created with those closest to him. His love and kindness will continue to live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his daughters, Olga, Priscilla, and Tiffany; his sons-in-law, Cristian, Carlos, and Jose; his grandchildren, Jazlyne, Anthony, Isabella, Nicolas, Diego, Angel, Norma, Alicia, and Eliza; his great-grandchildren, Aleena and Azari; as well as his mother, sisters, and brothers.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Yolanda; his fathers, Miguel Fernandez and Antonio Duarte; and his daughter, Alicia Duarte.
