Arthur "Art" Milo Stubbs, 69, passed away in his home on Friday, July 14, 2023, of cancer.
He was born on February 19, 1954, to Milo and Jane (Toole) Stubbs in Kearney, Nebraska. He was the oldest of 3 children. He grew up in a military family and moved many times before his family settled in Great Falls, MT.
Art graduated from Great Falls High School in 1972. He went directly into the Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War from 1972-1976. After the war, he attended Montana State University in Bozeman, MT where he earned his degree in Chemical Engineering in 1983. Here, he met Pam Sutton. Art and Pam were married April 13, 1990, and had two children, Robert and Randi Stubbs, both born in Richland, WA.
Before moving to Kennewick, Art and Pam moved to Albany, OR, where Art worked at the U.S. Bureau of Mines. In 1990, they moved to Yakima, WA where Art started working at the Hanford Nuclear Site in Richland, WA.
He would work here from April 1990 until he retired in February 2023. Art loved the work he did at Hanford and is proud of what he was able to accomplish while being there.
In 1991, they bought a house in Kennewick, WA where they would raise their children and reside the 32 years together.
He survived by his wife, Pam Stubbs; his son, Robert Stubbs; his daughter, Randi Stubbs (Zack Kopping); his father, Milo Stubbs; his sister, Jeanie (Steve) Kaste; his brother, Bob (Vicki) Stubbs; his nieces, Heather (Ron) Kaste-Kentzel, Andrea (Nick) Kaste-Hofstad, Amanda (Spencer) Stubbs-Mosness, Kelli (James) Stubbs-Lewis and numerous beloved cousins and family members.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Jane (Toole) Stubbs and numerous family members.
