Obituary - Avis Darlene (Hiatt) Taylor was born January 2, 1933 in Aberdeen, Idaho to Joel Walter Hiatt and Clara Matilda Keele. Avis returned to her Heavenly Father, peacefully on October 29, 2025 at the age of 92 in Kennewick, Washington. Avis married Alvin Taylor in April 1973. It was the second marriage for both. They each had adopted three children during their first marriages. Al had Aldan, Julie, and Roger. Avis had David, Tammie, and Sherri. In 1974 they were married then sealed to each other and all the children in the Salt Lake Temple. They had ten grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren. Avis was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served well and faithfully in many different callings throughout her life. She loved teaching Primary and Sunday School, singing in the choir and serving in the Relief Society. Avis & Al served several missions in Family History and two missions to

the Philippines. Avis was hard working and tireless. Avis had an extra green thumb and could grow most anything. She loved to

sing, craft, especially sewing or quilting blankets, crocheting kitchen hot-pads, and sofa throw pillows. Avis will be missed greatly by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Einan's at Hillcrest on November 14, 2025 located at 9353 W Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick, Washington at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing on November 13, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 5:00pm and November 14, 2025 at 10:00 am – 10:50 am prior to services. Interment and graveside service will be at City View Cemetery at

1300 N Oregon Avenue in Pasco, Washington
