Betty Jean Sarka May 12, 1928 - July 2, 2016 Betty Jean Morrison (Sarka) was born in Wadsworth, Ohio May 12, 1928 to Clifford and Amanda Morrison. She had four brothers, (Wilber, Robert, Donald, and Richard Morrison) and two sisters, (Harriot Mason and Evelyn Sickler). In 1947 she married Ernest Sarka and had three children, Ronald, Rebecca, and Donovan. Betty has a blessing of a precious spiritual heritage dating back to her grandparents, who in the 1890's became Bible Students, later known as Jehovah's Witnesses. Betty and her family lived in northern Ohio, in the cities of Wadsworth, Barberton, and Norton. She worked at Makey's Pie Shop and also worked for Seiberling Tire Company as a bookkeeper. In the year 1967, they moved to Columbus, Ohio. There is where they started the family business, Columbus Trailer Rental. In 1982 Ernie and Betty moved to Florida and located their home near Donovan. This was their dream to live in Florida which they did for 23 years. They started another trailer business, Anchor Trailer, which they operated for 8 years. In March of 2005, they returned to Ohio and moved in with Becky in Newark, then in March of 2006, Ernest passed away. In January, 2007, Betty and daughter Becky moved to Kennewick, Washington and lived with Ron and Debbie until they moved into Becky's new home in late 2009. At the end of 2011, she moved into Parkview Estates, an assisted living facility, then in mid 2013 into the home of Cindy Stover, a wonderful caregiver. As her health declined, in September, 2013, she then moved into Richland Rehabilitation Center, where she received excellent nursing and therapy. Betty and Ernie enjoyed gardening, square dancing, and raising butterflies. Betty would love to go to the beach when possible and enjoy the sun, sand, and the endless search for the perfect seashells. Betty never knew a stranger. Conversing with anyone made her happy, often the conversation would be quite humorous. She always looked her best, making sure her hair was done up nice, and her clothes and jewelry matched. She worked tirelessly with the family businesses. During those wonderful years in Florida, Betty loved close association and enjoyed many delightful days with Donovan, Sandra, and Dalia. She was a great cook and loved being in the kitchen with Becky, either cooking, baking, or preserving food. She looked forward to the times when she would visit Ron and Debbie and see her grandchildren, Caleb, and Nadya. Most important of all, Betty has a close personal relationship with Jehovah. It is evident that she "Drew close to God, and He drew close to her"—James 4:8 Betty had fought and beat cancer, dealt for years with the negative results of radiation, had diabetes which caused many problems, two seizures, a stroke, and had two hip surgeries. She was a strong woman to make it through all of the things she had to deal with. During the last six years Betty has received excellent medical care from numerous caregivers, specialists, doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, cna's, and directors of her health programs. At the end of her life in this world, all of her family was there beside her. She loved Jehovah, loved her family, and loved people. She looked forward to living in the future paradise on earth with her family, when she will never be sick, get old, have pain and sufferings again. The former things will have passed away. She had faith in Jehovah's promise of a resurrection here on earth in a new world soon to be…—Revelation 21: 3, 4 Betty is survived by her sisters Harriot Mason and Evelyn Sickler, by her brother Wilber Morrison, by her daughter Rebecca England, by her sons Ronald Sarka and Donovan Sarka, by their wives Deborah Sarka and Sandra Sarka, by her grandson Caleb Sarka, by his wife Desiree Sarka, by her granddaughter Nadya Sarka, and by her granddaughter Dalia Ruffatto along with her son Tyler Sikora.
