On Wednesday, March 2, 2022 Brian Lynn Devins was called home to Jesus. Brian was born on August 16, 1943 to Leo & Lula Devins in Ticonderoga, NY. Brian obtained his pilot's license when he was 16 years old. He graduated from Arlington High School in NY in 1962 and joined the US Navy in 1963. Brian went to flight training school in 1968 where he earned his commercial pilots license and also worked on the instruments and multi-engines on the planes. He attended Grays Harbor College in 1973 where he trained as a machinist and welding. He moved to Kennewick, Wa in 1974 where he began training at WPPSS as a Reactor Operator. In 1999 Brian decided to retire and began traveling across the country. He would spend the summers with family in New York and the winters with family in Washington. Everything was an adventure with Brian. He enjoyed reading, and if there was a yard sale or thrift store within 30 miles of where Brian was traveling, he was walking through the doors. He loved fishing with his family and rebuilding cars. He raised and bred Rottweilers and thoroughly enjoyed the breed. Brian was also passionate about planes. He completely rebuilt a 1950's Aeronca Tri-Champ completing it in 1993. He lovingly named it "Champ" and would take many friends and family up for a flight. During the summers in New York one of his greatest joys was spending time with his loving niece and best friend, Nan and her children. They enjoyed many travels together and had so many fun adventures. Brian was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Olivia Morey. Brian is survived by his children, Theresa Devins, Chandra Schlosser, Daniel Devins, Rebecca Foreman, Heather Erhart, Matthew Devins, Joseph Devins, and Suzy Murphy; 23 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; Aunt Theresa Devlin; cousins and many nieces and nephews. Brian was a faithful servant to Jesus. He would read scripture every day and had peace in knowing that he would be with Jesus one day. His memorial service is scheduled for Thursday March 10, 2022.
