Carol Ann Brown

January 21, 1940 – August 27, 2024

Carol Ann Brown, 84, of Pasco, WA, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, at Hospice House in Kennewick, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Caldwell, Idaho, on January 21, 1940, to Kenneth and Doris Douglass, Carol lived a life full of love, dedication, and service.

In 1959, Carol married the love of her life, Larry Brown. Their marriage of 65 years was a testament to their deep commitment to each other and their family. After moving from Caldwell to Toppenish, WA, in 1960, they spent 48 wonderful years there, where Carol worked as a secretary for the Toppenish School District until her retirement in 1999. The couple moved to the Tri-Cities 16 years ago, making Pasco their home.

Carol was a woman of faith and community. She was a dedicated member of the Pasco Christian Church, where she also volunteered to help with preschool activities. Her involvement extended beyond the church as she was a longtime member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Toppenish and the Toppenish Athletic Booster Club.

Carol had a passion for sports, especially when it came to cheering on her sons and grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking cookies, helping out with her son Lonny's catering business for eight years, and directing the choir at Calvary Baptist Church in Toppenish. Additionally, she was a volunteer for the Toppenish Pow Wow and Rodeo and a member of a church travel singing group.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Brown; her sons, Lonny Brown (Vicki) and Clark Brown (Wendy); her grandchildren, Kayla Turner, Kristi Brown, Tyson Brown, and Lexi Brown; and her great-grandchildren, Evan Turner and Sam Conner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Doris Douglass, and her brother, Jerry Douglass.

A memorial service will be held on September 21st at 10:00 am at Pasco Christian Church. Carol's warm spirit and unwavering love for her family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
