We are paying tribute to Carol Lee Hardy, a mom, Gma, sister, aunt, good friend, college professor, pianist, and companion. Carol Lee Hardy wore many hats and looked great in all of them. Carol was remembered by some as a woman with a lifelong commitment to learning and her accomplishments were so diversified. She attended Providence Academy in Vancouver, Washington, graduating in 1950 with the talent of a concert pianist. She received a BA in German with a minor in Library Science at Chico State College in 1970. Her teaching credentials for K-14 in German, Librarianship and Music were received in 1971 from Chico State. She then went on for a Masters in Music and Librarianship from California State University, completing her formal education with the equivalent of ABD in Librarianship from California State. Other educational endeavors included two years of study in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong with Qi Gong Master Woo, a Diploma in Tuina Acupressure and Scientific Massage from 1990 to 1992. Carol was working towards her Doctor of Naturopathy and Philosophy in Holistic Nutrition at the College of Natural Health, Birmingham, AL. Carol studied with the University in Israel to learn Biblical Hebrew for over two years. I loved the statement of one friend who said that now she was learning from the Hebrew Himself. There were not very many countries in the world that Carol did not visit. She loved sewing, history and learning about different cultures. Carol was born in For Smith, Arkansas to John and Tony Alexander on October 15, 1932. She was survived by her children daughter, Deborah and husband James Perry and son, Frank and wife Cherie Hardy. Her grandchildren include Chad Hardy, Christopher Perry and wife Corrine and Tobias Perry and wife Olivia and great-grandson Lincoln. Carol was honored to be the godmother of Stevyn Menegazzi and Karen Reynen. Carol's brother is James Alexander, sisters Ann Correll and Cathie Schmelzenbach. Carol went to be with our Lord on the 18th day of October, 2014 and will be missed by many.
