Obituary

Charles Charlie David Aman, the first born child of Verlin Vee W. Aman and Alice M. Aman arrived on December 11, 1946, in Pasco, Washington. He was raised in Kennewick and graduated from Kennewick High in 1965. He served in the Army and later worked as a bartender until getting into irrigation sales. He managed stores in Oregon and Western Washington and ending up in Puyallup, working for John Deere landscaping division. Chuck loved to play games, especially cards. He always joked about having to add points for you because of the ?stupidity factor?. Poker later became his pass time. He loved the challenge of the game and played when he could. He said that the employees at John Deere were setting up a Poker tournament, to be conducted in his name, and all the proceeds given to the Cancer Center in Seattle. He leaves behind his daughter, Traci Vance, his mother, Alice, his sisters, Lynn Dossett and Pat Aman, his brother Kevan wife Jackie, niece Angela Melville, and nephews Kyle, Scott and Drew Aman. He was preceded in death by his father, Verlin. The family would like to thank the John Deere folks for being so supported during this last three years that he fought his cancer. A special thanks to "Barb" for allowing Traci to be a part of Charlie's life, he loved her as if she was his own. The hospice folks, Rebecca, Alan, Kirk, and Colleen, thanks for making the last months of his life comfortable. Your caring for not only Charlie, but the rest of the family was greatly appreciated. The family would also like to thank Battelle and Energy Northwest for allowing family members to take the needed time to care and support their brother through this last year. Charlie, how blessed I feel to have been able to learn who you really were these last three months. Your strength through all your pain, your desire to live, your kindness for those around you will be a memory that will always be with me. You were truly a gentleman and someone I am proud to say was my brother. Lynn, thank you for taking him into your home and making his final days those of comfort and love. Charlie has requested that his body be willed to science and no formal services be conducted.
