Obituary

Charles Henry Manning, age 91, passed away in West Richland, Washington, on August 29, 2023. He was born in Grants Pass, Oregon, and grew up in Crescent City, California.

Charles was a professional military man serving twenty-one years in the Army. Upon discharge he began a second career as a machinist and worked in that trade for nineteen years.

He was an avid hunter and shooter, winning many medals and trophies. He also taught Hunter Education for twenty-three years.

Charles served as a Deacon and Usher in the Presbyterian Church. He loved God and served Him well.

Charles was proceeded in death by his sons Charles and Russell; parents; brother Lawrence and sister Marcia. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo with whom he spent many happy years; sons, Michael (Colleen), Stephen (Susan), Robert and Thomas; Grandchildren, Anthony, Joey, Haley, Kelsey, Michael, Olivia Jo, Monet, Davis, and Savannah; Great Grandchildren, Gracie, Keaton, Alexis, Oliver, Oskar, Evanlee, Tanner, Chanler and Zandor; Great Great-grandson Matthew. Charles will be dearly missed as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September11, 2023 ~ 1:30pm at Temple Baptist Church, 4555 Arena Rd, Richland, WA.

He will be inurned at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent,WA.
