Obituary

Charrlee Phyllis Thom was born on March 9, 1943, and passed away on February 7, 2026, surrounded by love. She was the beloved daughter of Charles and Eunice Bright.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Emmettte; her sister, Joanna Harris; and her sister and brother-in-law, George and LeVerne "Ginger" Horrell.

Charrlee is survived by her loving children, Cherri, Sharron, and John (Skip) , who were the heart of her life. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Michael, KC, Nicole, Andrew, Charlie, Sarah, and Jason, as well as great-grandchildren whom she deeply loved and adored. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews who will remember her with love.

After her children were grown and in high school, Charrlee dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked for 12 years as a caregiver at Hawthorne Court and a few other centers, where her compassion, patience, and kindness touched many lives.

She was a faithful member of the Southern Baptist Church. In her personal life, she enjoyed geology, art, painting, gardening, and yard work. Above all else, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them.

Charrlee will be remembered for her gentle spirit, creativity, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
