Obituary

Christopher Lee English, age 28, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away on October 31, 2025, in Richland, Washington. He was born in July 1997 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Troy and Steffani English.

Chris spent most of his life in the Tri-Cities area, where he built a strong network of friends, family, and community connections. He also cherished the years he lived in Southern California and often spoke of returning there someday.

A dedicated electrician, Chris became a licensed journeyman this year after completing his apprenticeship through IBEW Local 112. He most recently worked for Townsend Controls and Electric, LLC, where he was valued for his skill, work ethic, and quick wit.

Beyond his career, Chris's greatest passion was football. He played and coached at Pasco High School for a combined total of ten years. As a coach, his greatest goal was to positively impact the lives of his players-believing that character and team bonding mattered more than the scoreboard. His commitment, mentorship, and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on those he coached and worked alongside.

Chris married the love of his life, Cassie, on July 20, 2024. Together they shared a love for adventure and travel, often embarking on spontaneous trips-from Disneyland visits and college or NFL games to playing poker in Las Vegas and honeymooning in Hawaii. Chris and Cassie built a beautiful life centered on connection-with his players, their friends, and family.

He faced his battle with cancer with remarkable strength and courage, always more concerned for the well-being of his loved ones than for his own pain. Chris will be remembered for his enormous heart, sharp humor, unwavering loyalty, and the deep love he shared with everyone around him.

Chris leaves behind his loving wife, Cassie, and her close-knit family; his mom, Steffani; his brother, Sylas; his sister, Taryn; his grandfathers, Richard English and Fred Ruck; and his Aunt Mandy. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy English; his grandmothers, Peggy English and Diana Ruck; and his beloved dog, Cleo.
