In Loving Memory of Craig Alan Brazell

December 6, 1964 - February 1, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Craig Alan Brazell, who left us at the age of 60. A man who valued faith, family, friends, and farming, Craig's warmth and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born and raised in the Tri-City area, Craig spent time living in various parts of Washington but always called the Tri-Cities his true home. A true farmer at heart, Craig worked tirelessly to make his dream of becoming a farmer come true in the final years of his life. A man who could grow anything, he shared what he grew with anyone who needed it, with the goal of helping others and living organically on this earth. But farming was more than just a way of life for Craig-it was a reflection of his character. He was a man who weathered years of hard work, was always ready to lend a hand to those in need, and brought so much to his community.

Craig's smile, endless positivity, and laughter could fill an entire room. He lifted spirits with his infectious joy, and his motto, "Smile, Life is Good," was heard by many, if not all, who knew him. His presence was magnetic, and he had a way of making everyone feel welcome, whether they were a lifelong friend or someone he had just met. His positive outlook on life brightened even the toughest of days, even in moments of personal stress and strife, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

His faith was a cornerstone of his life, with a regular Sunday ritual of taking his mother, Darlene, to church, followed by lunch. In early 2025, he was meeting with his pastor to see how he could support the homeless in the community. His belief in kindness, honesty, and faith was evident in his actions.

Above all, Craig's greatest joys were his family-both the family he was born with and the ones he created with others in this community. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, friend, and community member, dedicated to providing for his loved ones and often putting their needs before his own. He cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren, talking with friends on the farm, or sending pictures of his morning routine with the animals and the sunrise, always offering well wishes for the day. Craig's legacy of positivity, helping others in need, and his unwavering ability to make all feel welcome will live on in those whose lives he impacted.

Craig is survived by his mother, Darlene; his children, Lucas, Cassandra (Jim), and Ashlynn; his grandchildren, Wynter and Henry; his siblings, Dave (Amy) and Vicki (John); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family of choice-a list too long to individually name each person. He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Brazell. Craig's family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, free of pain, and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. A celebration of Craig's life will be held in the spring; details will be shared via social media and word-of-mouth.
