Obituary

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Crystal Fae Graves (Scott), who left this world on April 29, 2024, at the age of 89 in Kennewick, Washington. Born to Clyde "Ole" Scott and Jessie Benson on June 24, 1934, in Carlton, Washington, Fae's life was one of unwavering devotion to her family and an embodiment of compassion.

Fae was the treasured matriarch of her family, revered for her remarkable ability to nurture and love unconditionally. Her gentle guidance and comforting presence will be profoundly missed by those who were fortunate to call her mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Throughout her life, Fae supported her family and husband Bob's military career with dignity and strength, creating a loving home in every corner of the world. Her fondness for Hawaii was unmatched, and her memories there remained some of her most cherished.

Fae moved back to the Methow Valley, where she grew up, upon her marriage to Tom Graves in 1977. Fae served the Methow community with unwavering dedication and commitment by volunteering at the local senior center and the numerous community events.

She is survived by her loving children Janice Tucker, Kathy Brown, Mark Graves, Todd Graves, and Dave Graves; her adoring siblings Janice Ortman, Crystal Miller, Leeann Booth, Alan Acord and Pete Scott; her eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor her legacy. Fae was preceded in passing by her first husband, Robert Brown and second husband, Tom Graves, and her sons, Robert Brown and Kelly Brown.

A graduate of Twisp High School in 1952 and after attending Central Washington University, Fae dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a home health caregiver, a role she fulfilled with grace and empathy.

A service to celebrate Fae's life will be held on May 18, 2024, at 2 PM at The Barn, 51 State Route 20, Winthrop, WA 98862. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Chaplaincy Healthcare in Kennewick for their support and care.

Crystal Fae Graves will be remembered as a beacon of love and kindness. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of all who knew her.
