Dana Michael Cooper 1979-2025

After a courageous battle with cancer, Dana Michael Cooper, 46, of Kennewick, WA, passed on May 21, 2025. Dana was born in Kennewick, WA on April 19th, 1979 to Patrick and Elizabeth Cooper. He was the youngest of 4 brothers. As a teenager, Dana loved playing soccer and skateboarding. Dana grew up on the Columbia River and enjoyed fishing with his family and friends throughout his life. He developed a love of cars and trucks and loved to go four-wheeling. A few of us lucky ones got to see his love for karaoke.

At a young age Dana decided he wanted to work in law enforcement. Dana served at the Benton County Corrections for over 12 years and was a Corporal. Dana often looked for ways to help the community, getting involved with programs to help improve the lives of those in need. He was the type of person to give you the shirt off his own back and would often give people a warm meal or beverage when it was too hot or cold out. He enjoyed working with his nephews and other kids learning to fix their own vehicles.

Dana's proudest accomplishment is his son, Brayden Cooper, whom he loved with all of his heart. He was very proud of him and the young man he is becoming.

Dana is survived by his son Brayden Cooper and former wife, Breanna Cooper; partner, Kristal Stroh; father, Patrick Cooper; brothers, Chris, Bryan, and Scott Cooper; and nieces and nephews Bethany Huntington, Sage Cooper, Simon Cooper, Rory Cooper, and Olivia Cooper. He is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Cooper and grandparents Ted and Gloria Cooper and Alfredo and Erlinda Trujillo.

A Celebration of Life will be at Crossroads Bible Church, 300 S Quincy St, Kennewick, WA on Friday May 30th at 3:00 pm.
