David Grant Guymon, born February 18, 1935, took the next step in his eternal progression, passing on June 28, 2007 after a two year battle with cancer. He was the son of Albert and Vera Storey Guymon, both deceased. He is survived by his son Scott, wife Jennifer, grandchildren Ashley and Matthew of Woodinville, WA; sister Roma Blalock of Richland; brother Richard of Kennewick, and sister Donna Kraus, husband Paul of Kennewick, with whom he had been residing at the time of his death.
Grant, as his family called him, was born in Martinez, CA. He lived there and in Stockton, CA until he moved to Richland, WA with his family, graduating from Columbia High School. Most of his adult life he lived in California, doing a variety of jobs. He was the tall, shy, handsome, silent type, even a loner. Because of his shyness it was hard for him to be close to people and show his emotions. However, when family or friend needed help, he was there for them and generous to a fault. At his request there will be no services. In memory of Grant, a dinner will be held on Wednesday, July 4th at 1:00 pm, inviting his friends, and any family friends who would like to come at the Kraus House patio, 4310 W. Okanogan, in Kennewick, or friends are invited to stop by any time during the afternoon or evening. Thanks to Hospice for their concern and care of Grant during his illness.
