David Martin Willert, 69, of Kennewick, WA, peacefully passed away in his home on May 25, 2025, after issues struggling with cancer.

David Willert was born on Travis AFB, California on February 17, 1956, to Edward and Jane Willert.  David was the oldest of 4 brothers who are Dale, Derrick, and Darin.  Growing up he liked playing baseball and catching fish.  Later, he became active with Order of DeMolay, Chapter North Hill, Spokane, WA.  Then, he moved to Kennewick, WA.  David graduated from Kennewick High School in 1974.  David began working with Kennewick School District as a custodian and then worked his way up to maintenance grounds supervisor.  He retired with over 30 years with the Kennewick School District.  Living near the Columbia River most of his life he would continue this love of fishing with brothers and friends.  He always would be telling stories which enlightened every occasion.  Golfing was another favorite activity, weekly, with his longtime friends:  Steve, Rod, and Mack.

David will always be remembered for being available and supporting family.  He took the role of older brother responsibly to teach his younger brothers the ways of life.  David will be missed by many friends and family.
