EULOGY OF DOLORES BEVEN INGRAM

Dolores Beven Ingram was born on April 1st 1934 In Santa Fe New Mexico, to Celestino & Guadalupita Apodaca. She was the 7th child born of 11 children, 6 Girls and 5 boys. Joe, Tony, Reyes, Eddie, Junie, Helen, Lena, Mary, Lucy & Viola. They all preceded her death, except her two younger sisters Lucy & Viola.

She has several nieces & nephews & would keep in contact with almost all of them. They were all so good about checking in on her and keeping in touch. Some would come to visit her in Washington. Her last visitor was in September by her Niece Yvonne, Mom called her the "Brown Eye Girl" because that was on her phone ring tone. She held a special place in her heart for everyone.

She attended Catholic School at the Loretta Academy and Santa Fe High School.

She loved to dance and listen to music. She especially loved dancing with all of her brothers. It was so much fun watching them as they were quite good!

With such a big family there was not much money. Her father was a contractor and worked construction. He had a green thumb growing his garden. Her mother was a housewife. They didn't have a car to get around. The kids walked to school. She would tell us stories about how cold it would be, and the barrettes in her hair would freeze against her scalp. When their shoes wore out, they would put card board inside of them to get more wear out of them.

Her uncle Frank owned a grocery store nearby and he would bring groceries to their house. Later in years when her oldest brother Joe, bought a car he would transport them around. She and her brother Reyes were close in age and he would get mad when she would wear his jeans and take his bike.

She met Henry Beven at a football game her brothers were playing at in Albuquerque. He was in the service stationed there. They dated for a while and got married on June 16, 1954.

They had their first-born Beverly in Santa Fe. Shortly after they moved to Renton, WA and had 4 more children: Barbara, Bonieta, Henry Jr, and Dena. They were so happy to get a boy. Then later, another surprise girl, Dena. Dena was a blessing from above. She gave our mother such loving, and caring joy her whole life. Being she lived the closest to her, she took care of her until her last day with the help of Beverly and Henry which also lived nearby.

Her occupations were waitressing, retail and assembly line work at Boeing in Renton, WA.

She was a very dedicated catholic and took us to church every Sunday.

She had a heart of gold and had many friends. However, she missed her NM family. She was the only sibling that moved out of state. Her mother was not happy that she was so far away. They did talk often on the phone. It was usually in Spanish. We couldn't understand what they were saying. She would put us on the phone to say a few words in Spanish.

She lost her dear husband Henry at the young age of 45 in 1976. She was devastated. Fortunately, she had her children to comfort her especially Bonieta, Hank & Dena which were still living at home.

She re-married Roy Ingram on March 24th of 1979 and a few years later they moved to Pasco, WA.

She is survived by her children: Beveryly, Barbara, Bonieta, Henry Jr, and Dena.

Stepchildren: Leslee, Julee, Roylee, Tracy, Shellee and Mark.

She had 5 Grandchildren. Ryan, Derrek, Janel, Sebastian, Nicholas.

Step Grandchildren: John, Kyle, Melissa, Jacob, Elliot, Beth, Matt, Alisha, and Liz.

6 Great Grandchildren: Darren, Kayden, Jet, Sion, Brady & Brielle.

Step Great-Grandchildren - Taylor, Kaylee, Aaisha, Declan, Kellen, Claire, Raegan, & Jordie.

She lost her husband Roy January 15th, 2017.

Shortly after that she was diagnosed with dementia and had a stroke. She moved into care homes and was there until her last day. She had many visitors there including friends, family and caregivers.

Mom, you will be dearly missed by all of us. Everyone would embrace your sweet hugs and the love you shared.

We will cherish all the memories we have shared. We know you're in a good place with Our Lord and all your loved ones once again dancing with your brothers in Heaven.
