Obituary

“

She truly was the "anchor" of our family.

With heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of Donna Van Hollebecke, 90, of Pasco on October 15, 2026 at Guardian Angel Homes in Richland. She was born on May 25, 1936 in Walla Walla, WA to Byron and Vivian Baker. She married her high school sweetheart Larry Van Hollebecke on October 23, 1954 in Pasco, WA.

We celebrate her life today on what would have been 72 years of marriage. Together they farmed Northeast of Pasco until their retirement years. Donna was married at the age of 18 and a mother of four by age 25. She truly was the "anchor" of our family. She loved and treasured her family and cherished her role as Grandma to us all! She loved farm life, cooking, baking, gardening (loved her roses), crafts, horses, collecting her porcelain baby dolls, and traveling with numerous friends and family in their R.V. She was loving, giving, funny, and hard working. She will be missed more than words can describe. She "loved" to shop QVC. We will all be left to wonder how much Christmas shopping she had already accomplished!!

She was preceded in death by her parents Byron and Vivian Baker, Husband Larry Van Hollebecke, Daughter Terri Snyder and brother Joe Baker.

She is survived by her son Rodney Dean (Monica) Van Hollebecke of Kahlotus, Sherlyn Dee (Jim) Witter of Spokane, Larry Wade (Dawn Lisa) Van Hollebecke of Pasco, son-in-law Bruce Snyder of Connell, 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Also nephew Cary (Tammy) Baker of Greenacres and niece Jodi (Craig) Crocker of Newport.
