Dorothy Marie Jones Dioguardi passed away peacefully at 100 years old. Dorothy was born to Rowland Jones and Gertrude Casey Jones on April 4, 1918 in Yonkers, N.Y. Dorothy had a long and happy life married to the love of her life Mario Joseph Dioguardi and lived in Sacramento, CA. She joined the Navy in World War II as a Yeoman third class as a WAVE. She attended Oklahoma A&M College and was later employed by the Sacramento State Department of Compensation in the Insurance Fraud Group. Dorothy is survived by her children John Dioguardi and Diane (Dennis) Johnson; her grandchildren Maria Dioguardi, Jason (Tammy) Dioguardi, Alisa (Tom) Haller, and Tavia (Jason) Shields; her great-grandchildren Rebecca Roberts, Mason (Kim) Roberts, Sydni Shields, Carly Haller, and Max Haller. She is preceded in death by her parents Rowland and Gertrude, her brother Rowland, and her beloved Mario. Services will be held in Richland, WA at Christ the King Church on December 13, 2018 at 11am and in Citrus Heights, CA at Calvary Cemetary Chapel on December 18, 2018 at 11am. In lieu of flowers Dorothy requested that contributions be made to / the your local Hospice Care to help them continue their mission.
