Our son, brother, father, and best friend lost his courageous battle with cancer, passing away at home on May 15, 2008. He was surrounded by many of his family and friends in his last hours . Marty was born on November 27, 1962 in Kennewick, Washington, to his parents William Earl Martin, Jr. and Glenda Lou Magill Martin. He was a life-long resident of the Tri-Cities. Marty's dream from a very young age was to own a restaurant. He succeeded in his goals, owning several local establishments including all of the Francisco's Restaurants and most recently, proudly helping his family in the opening of Magill's in Pasco. Marty was preceded in death by his wife, Sherrie Lynn Martin, in 1989, and his long-time companion, Lisa Malanitch, in 2006. Also preceding him in death was his paternal grandmother, Garnet Martin, and his maternal grandparents, Virginia Fuller and Glen Magill. Surviving Marty are his mother, Glenda Martin, of Pasco, father and his wife, Earl and Jere Martin, of Kennewick; 97-year old grandfather, William Earl Martin, Sr. Papo of Pasco; daughter, Stephanie Theresa Earnest, of Portland, Oregon ; son, Spencer William Martin, of Pullman; brother and his wife, Darren and Sheila Martin, of Pasco; sister and her husband, Brenda and Matt Chilton of West Richland; step-brother and his wife, David and Rosie Sparks of Prosser; "adoptive" daughters, Summer, Amber & April and their children; best friend, Lonnie Marks of Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.
