Eileen Marie Moon – 76, of Pendleton, Oregon, passed away on December 22, 2025, in Richland, Washington, surrounded by her family.

Eileen was born on October 30, 1949, to Tom and Vivian LaSarge, in Pendleton, Oregon. She lived her life there and graduated from Pendleton High School in 1967. She met her husband, Tom Moon, in high school and they were married in Lewiston, Idaho, in 1966. They welcomed twin girls, Heather and Shannon, in 1969.

Throughout their great adventure, she owned and operated six businesses with her husband, Tom, from 1975 to present. Among these were the Moonshine Mini Mart they owned with her brother-in-law, Keith Moon and his wife, Pam, in Pendleton, Oregon; Moonshine Tap Service; The Tamarack Inn Bed and Breakfast at Tollgate, Oregon; and Gemstone Treasures. By far, her fondest were the Tamarack Inn Bed and Breakfast and Gemstone Treasures. She also enjoyed her time working for Jo-Ann's Fabrics.

Eileen belonged to several gem and mineral clubs in Pendleton and Hermiston, Oregon, Tri-Cities and Walla Walla, Washington, and Quartzite, Arizona. She loved going rock hunting and camping with her family and friends. She enjoyed baking, cooking, making jewelry, sewing, collecting gems, minerals, Roseville pottery, crockery, and vintage glass toothpick holders and animals. She also enjoyed treasure hunting with her kids for all kinds of antiques and collectibles. She loved old movies, especially Universal Monster movies, dinosaurs, and Godzilla. Her favorite Universal Monster was the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Moon, twin daughters, Heather Moon and Shannon Jennings, their bonus daughter, Trinda Stephenson, grandchildren, Nicholas and Cassius Jennings, her sister, Diana LaSarge, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Vivian LaSarge, and her sister, Sandra Rich.
