OBITUARIO Emigdio Torres Valdovinos 56 de Pasco, WA falleció el 6 de abril de 2021, nació el 3 de octubre de 1964 en La Dicha, Guerrero, México, de padres Gabriel Torres Rodríguez y Francisca Valdovinos Oregon. Emigdio vivió en Tri-Cities durante 12 años, donde fue miembro de la Primera Iglesia Luterana en Pasco y estaba inscrito en las clases de inglés en el Ministerio Latino Luterano de Pasco. Le gustaba caminar y acompañar a su hija a cualquier evento cultural, escolar o de la iglesia, también disfrutaba la monta de caballo y pescar. Emigdio era un hombre humilde y trabajador que se preocupaba por su familia y amigos. Le sobreviven sus hijos, Izzabella, Oneli, Luz Elena, Anthony, Angel y Natalie, sus hermanos, Juana, Pablo, Felipa, Lucaido, Pedro, muchos sobrinos y sobrinas, primos y muchos amigos de su trabajo, iglesia y comunidad. Como un campesino, trabajó en las manzanas para sostener a su hija de 10 años. En el campo se dañó el hombro al principio de octubre. Después de varios meses, el seguía adolorido y su recuperación era muy lenta. Emigdio fue a otra consulta médica y recibió una mala noticia acerca de su salud. Emigdio fue diagnosticado con cáncer en su páncreas. El 4 de marzo tubo una cita en el Centro de Cáncer de los Tri-Cities. De allí se fue a Kadlec y luego al Hospital del Corazón Sagrado en Spokane. El cáncer comenzó en su páncreas, pero se ha extendió al hígado y ahora está en el estómago. Emigdio dedicó su tiempo a sus amigos, la familia, la iglesia, su hija y el trabajo. Siempre ayudaba con la cosecha de manzanas aun que estaba muy cansado. Siempre ayudó a los demás aunque no tenía mucho para compartir. Con amor comenzamos esta cuenta de Go Fund Me para pagar los gastos finales para Emigdio. Si sobra dinero lo pondremos en un fondo para la educación de su hija. Es difícil comprender como una vida puede cambiar en menos de un mes. Gracias por su ayuda para esta familia querida. OBITUARY Emigdio Torres Valdovinos 56 of Pasco, WA passed away on April 6, 2021, He was born to Gabriel Torres Rodriguez and Francisca Valdovinos Oregon on October 3, 1964 in La Dicha, Guerrero, Mexico. Emigdio lived in the Tri-Cities for 12 years where he was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Pasco and was enrolled in the English classes at the Pasco Latino Lutheran Ministry. He liked walking and accompanying his daughter to any cultural, school and church event, he also enjoyed horseback riding and fishing. Emigdio was a hardworking, humble man who cared for his family and friends. He is survived by his children, Izzabella, Oneli, Luz Elena, Anthony, Angel, and Natalie, his siblings, Juana, Pablo, Felipa, Lucaido, Pedro, many nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends from his work, church, and community. He is preceded in death by his parents Gabriel Torres Rodriguez and Francisca Valdovinos Oregon. Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation will be handling the services. As a farmworker, he helped mostly with the apple harvest to provide for his ten-year-old daughter. It was there in the orchard that he injured his shoulder at the beginning of October. Now it is hard to fathom how their lives have changed in less than one month. On March 4 he had an appointment at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center, referred there by the Lourdes Hospital ER. He went to Kadlec Hospital on March 7 and was transferred to Sacred Heart. His cancer started in his pancreas and spread to his liver and is now also in his stomach. Emigdio dedicated his time to his friends, family, church, daughter, and work. He helped with the apple harvest no matter how tired he was. He always gave back and extended a hand to those who needed it even when he did not have much to give. With love we begin a Go Fund Me account to cover final expenses for Emigdio.
