Florence Elizabeth Stevens Pratt, age 95, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Beth was born to Arnold and Rachel Stevens, in Jerome, Idaho; the ninth child in a family of 14 children. The family lived on a farm near Tuttle, Idaho during the depression years of the 30's. She grew up learning to love work - there was lots of it! Her job as a girl on the farm was to clean the chicken coop and feed and water the chickens. She loved riding horses and helped the men run the derrick. After Beth graduated from High School she attended Business College in Twin Falls and then worked at Wendell Bank with her sister Sibyl. They were "the girls" and helped businesses with banking and bookkeeping. When she was 27 years old she served an LDS mission in the Eastern States - mostly serving in Erie, Pennsylvania. When she returned from her mission, she met and married Grant Pratt in the Idaho Falls temple. They had eight children. They lived on a farm near Hinckley, Utah when they were first married and then moved to Kennewick, WA and lived for 52 years in their "dream home" they built themselves. Beth was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Beth had many talents and hobbies. She spent her life in service to others. She decorated many wedding cakes and did floral arrangements for weddings. She enjoyed china painting, oil painting, music (played the guitar, piano, accordion, and clarinet in the school band), family history, writing poetry, canning and gardening. Beth is survived by her seven children and their spouses; 23 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren, and her two sisters. Beth is preceded in death by her parents; 11 siblings; her infant son and her husband.
