Galina Zagorenko was born on August 19, 1934 in the village of Golma in the Odessa region to Ivan and Anastasia Levitsky. She was the fourth of six children. Her parents repented when the children were still small. During her childhood, she experienced war, famine, separation from her father (he was imprisoned for his faith in God). Growing up, the children were raised in a loving and Christian household.

At a young age, she received spiritual baptism and made a covenant with the Lord through water baptism.

On July 8, 1956, she married Ivan Zagorenko. Six children were born in the family: Lyubov, Nadezhda, Lyudmila, Vera, Mikhail and Igor. When son Misha was one year old, Ivan fell ill with the flu and this caused complications with his kidneys, he spent a lot of time in the hospital. When our mother's younger sister Nina passed away at the age of 39, and then a year later her husband, our parents made a decision to take their youngest seven-year-old son Yura into our family.

By the grace of God and the prayers of the family and the church, God extended dad's life.

In 1993, the Lord called our father to his eternal home.

Three years later, our mother married Felix Yagoda.

In 1999, they moved to the United States and became members of the Ark of Salvation Church.

On August 1, 2024, at 11 o'clock in the evening, our dear mother, while praying crossed over to the eternal land she had dreamed of and strived for all her life.

She left behind six children, 37 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren (soon to be 59) and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
