Gary Lee Thornton, passed away March 6, 2024. Gary was born July 13, 1947 to Irma and Bernard Thornton in Lewiston, ID. Gary attended schools in Kendrick, ID and Asotin, Wa. Gary married Carolyn Lee in 1970. Gary worked for the Camas Prairie railroad until he was laid off in 1985. He moved his family to Boise for a short period and then to Kennewick where he worked for the Hanford Nuclear Project until his retirement. Gary was divorced in 1991 and remarried Vicki Vickerman.

Gary is survived by his wife Vicki, daughter Taunya and son Darrin, brother Rick and sister Meta. Gary had 8 grandchildren and 2 grandchildren. Tragically, Gary's daughter Dionne Thornton-Schadt passed only a week before his own death.

A shared memorial service will be held April 6, 2024~1:00pm for Gary and his daughter Dionne at Calvary Chapel 10611 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick, WA.
