Obituary

Gerald Lee Huber, a 36 year Tri-Cities resident of Richland passed away on April 17, 2013 surrounded by family at the Hospice House in Kennewick, Washington. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on October 10, 1922. He was 90 years old. He was a dedicated, loving father and husband. He is preceded in death by his wife Kitty of 58 years, and son Dan. He is survived by two sons, a daughter, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Jerry was a World War II veteran who served as a signalman on the USS North Carolina. He went on to become a drafter with the Corps of Engineers in Alaska, an aircraft engineer with Lockheed and Boeing, and then a mechanical engineer at Rockwell Hanford where he retired in 1988. He played golf into his late eighties and even played Pebble Beach back when it was only $10. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
