Harry Thomas "Tom" Voyles, age 76, passed away on June 20, 2026, in Richland, Washington.

Tom was born on May 17, 1950, in Tonasket, Washington, and was raised in the valley between Riverside and Tonasket, where he developed a lifelong love of farming and ranching while helping his father work the land and raise cattle.

He graduated from Tonasket High School in 1968, attended Wenatchee Valley College, and earned a degree in Animal Science from Washington State University in 1972.

Tom devoted his life to farming and ranching. After college, he worked for Randall Ferguson on a large wheat and Angus cattle ranch near Bickleton, Washington. He later worked for BB Cattle Company in Connell and farmed and raised cattle in Mesa before establishing his own operation in Basin City, where he farmed 160 acres and continued raising cattle.

A respected member of the community, Tom was actively involved in the Cattlemen's Association and served on the Bailey Youth Ranch Board. He believed in showing up when people needed help and never hesitated to lend a hand. His quiet generosity and steadfast dependability left a lasting impression on many. Those who knew Tom will remember his big laugh, his steady presence, and his willingness to lend a hand without ever expecting anything in return. Whether on horseback working cattle, visiting with friends over coffee in the mornings, or helping a neighbor, Tom lived a life rooted in hard work and friendship.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Chrissie Voyles (Justin) of Boise, Idaho, and Jenny Voyles (Jessey) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; his granddaughter, Addison Adcock; his sisters, Margaret Platt and Shirley Gilbert, both of Port Angeles, Washington; the mother of his children, Pam Tyhuis; his devoted companion, Gayle Loman; and many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry F. Voyles and Loretta M. (Bilstad) Voyles. He will be laid to rest beside them at Riverview Cemetery in Oroville, Washington.

A funeral service will be held at Einan's at Hillcrest Funeral Home on July 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. We invite all who knew and loved Tom to join us in honoring his memory.
