Helen Rosemary Huffman, 78, of Kennewick died on June 14, 2007. Helen was born in Williston, North Dakota, on January 28, 1929 to John and Jennie Mahanna. She went to the University Of North Dakota. While attending college she met Gordon Huffman and they were married in 1950. Helen had a passion for baking and was an excellent cake decorator. In the 1960?s she owned the Palm Tavern in Pasco, Washington. She was an interior decorator until she retired. Helen moved to Packwood, Washington in 1981 where she resided until a year ago when she moved in with her son Kelly in Kennewick. Helen is survived by her sisters, Hazel Blackburn of Ephrata, Washington, Billiette Pitz of Aloha, Oregon; her brother, Maurice Mahanna of Roseburg, Oregon. She is also survived by her sons Gordon and Kelly Huffman of Kennewick, Washington, 2 granddaughters, Jessica Huffman of Portland, Oregon and Taylor Huffman of Gilbert, Arizona. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Huffman, who died in 1964; two sons, John D. Huffman who died 1 year ago and David who died in 1966. A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Center on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 2:00 pm. Flowers can be sent to Hillcrest Memorial Center.
