Hermelinda Tapia Garduño, 74, of Mattawa, WA, passed away on August 4, 2024. She was born on October 28, 1949, in Zitácuaro, Michoacán, Mexico, to Lucio Garduño Ezquivel and Elodia Petra Silverio Hernandez.

On November 7, 1966, Hermelinda married Celerino Tapia Ramirez, beginning a lifelong journey together. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church. Hermelinda found joy in simple pleasures, such as playing dominoes, watering her plants, taking walks, and listening to music. Above all, she cherished the moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Hermelinda is survived by her loving husband, Celerino Tapia, her seven children, 24 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents and siblings.

Hermelinda's warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace.
