GREGO, Jim, 59, of Tri-Cities, WA. Born on September 1, 1948; died on March 13, 2008. Born in Oceanside, N.Y., he grew up in Levittown on Long Island. Jim is welcome in heaven by his parents Andrew Ruth, his baby son Seth and his furry pal Pearl. He lived in New York until 1977 when he relocated his family out to Washington state to work at the Hanford area as a carpenter. He was also a devoted deputy for the Benton County Sheriff's Department for over 15 years. While he lived in the Northwest for 30 years, he was always a New Yorker at heart. He loved New York pizza, a cold beer, and the New York Yankees. It never failed to bring a smile to the faces of all who knew him to hear him yell, 'Carol' in his thick Long Island accent that never abandoned him. Beloved husband of Carol, loving father to his children: Butch Rachel, Troy Cherie, Thomas Kriste, the late Seth, Elycia Shaun and Kendel Tyler. Cherished grandfather to his grandchildren: Courtnee, Travis, Alexander, Koty, Coltyn, Tristian, Tanner, Karah, Kindra, Kasen, and the little one on the way. Brother to Andrew Sally and many nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful man, an amazing father, and a phenomenal friend. His fire and passion for love, life, politics radical conservative :- and the Yankees will be missed by all. Jim also was extremely proud of his two sons who are in the Army 1SG Grego, Thomas J. & PFC Bockman, Shaun J. Dad, please watch over Thomas as he continues to fight in Afghanistan doing what you were so proud of. Jim was a very proud dad of all his kids and when he looked in our eyes, we could see how much love was in his heart for each one of us! We love you, Jim/Daddy. Please give Seth a hug for us!
