James "Jim" Amarel went to be with God in heaven on the morning of December 25, 2019. Jim loved his beautiful wife Noralu, and lived for her and their family. He was hardworking, persistent and knew no stranger. Although his body grew tired, his mind never did. His strong determination enabled him to outlive his diagnosis of Amyloidosis of the heart. In his final years, he continued to work hard while also spending quality time with his family. His renewed sense of faith never faltered and carried him into eternal life. He owned and operated B.C.E. LLC and was a member of Columbia Community Church and Lake Chelan Yacht Club. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Mary & Joseph Amarel and three brothers, Bob, Bill and Art Amarel. Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years Noralu Amarel; daughter Denise (Mark) Robertson; sons Jim Jr. (Nathalie), Kevin (Teresa), Bryan (Nicole) Amarel. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren: Alyssa (Nathan) Cummings, Nicole (Aaron) Jacobs, Nathan (Lin-z) Robertson, James, Dyllan (Jasmine), Taylor, Sophie, Brielle and Anabela. He has also known the love of his eight great-grandchildren: Emersyn, Maliha, Nora, Kinsley, Braden, Avery, Kadence and Baby girl due in May. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Hospital. Jim's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, starting at 1:00 p.m. For out of town guest who wish to stay overnight a block of rooms have been set aside for your convenience.
