Janet Joy Johnson, 71, of Kennewick, Washington passed away on October 31, 2023, in Gilbert, Arizona following a long and difficult battle against cancer. She was born August 8, 1952, to Thelda Mae Watkins and Vernon Suchy in Great Bend, Kansas. She got her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Oregon State University. She then received her Master's degree in Counseling with an emphasis on Family Systems from LIOS/Bastyr University. She was also a Master Rapid Eye Therapist and Reiki Master. She then started her own practice, Heart to Heart Counseling. During her time as a therapist, she assisted so many people and truly changed lives. In 2019, she retired and moved to Gilbert, Arizona to live with her daughter, Jessica, and four grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Mazariegos, and Serene Matheson, as well as 10 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, her sisters, Vivian Cameron, Karen Plueard, June Frederickson, Rita Irwin, and Kim Jones, and her brothers, Vernon Suchy and Larry Suchy. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 1:00 PM on November 18th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel in Benton City, Washington.
