Jennifer Lynn
Bateman
Mar 7, 1976 — Jul 11, 2024
Jennifer was born on March 7, 1976, to Cliff and Pat Schock. Her little brother, John, joined the family on December 14, 1977. During their youth, Jennifer and John enjoyed making mud pies, playing with animals, and going camping with their family. Jennifer was also involved with Campfire Girls and baton twirling. At the age of 16, Jennifer's father, Cliff, taught her how to drive. Sadly, he passed away in June 1992. The following year, in April 1993, John Haeg became Jennifer's stepfather, and in September 1993, her little brother, Jared, was born. Jennifer graduated from Kennewick High School in 1994 alongside her best friend, Amy Mock Roland. She pursued her education in accounting at both Columbia Basin College (CBC) and Washington State University (WSU) Tri-Cities. In May 1999, Jennifer got married and welcomed her healthy daughter, Mikayla, on March 15, 2002. While focusing on her family, Jennifer worked as an accountant for Lithia Ford and later as a registration clerk at Kennewick General Hospital (KGH). In 2008, she met her future husband, Troy Pattee, and they got engaged in 2009. Jennifer was known for her vibrant spirit, her huge smile, and her warm hugs. She loved to cross-stitch and was famous for her chicken enchiladas Despite being diagnosed with Huntington's disease, which also took the life of her brother John in 2010, Jennifer remained resilient. Huntington's disease gradually impacted her life, but she cherished the moments she had, including meeting her first grandbaby and witnessing her daughter's journey to becoming a teacher. Jennifer fought an incredible battle and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her parents, Pat and John Haeg; her brothers, Scott (Amber) and family and Jared (Casey); her husband, Troy; her daughter, Mikayla; and her granddaughter, Delilah.
