Obituary

Jody Diane Ball, 65, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away in her home on March 3, 2023. She was born on September 10, 1957, in Spokane, WA to Glenn Jordan and Sondra Simpson. Jody was one of eight brothers and sisters, whom she loved and laughed with her whole life. Jody married her best friend Glenn Ball on March 23, 1977, in Vancouver, WA. She spent the rest of her life by his side.

Jody and Glenn raised their three children in Spokane, Ritzville, and Kennewick, enjoying many wonderful years together. She was incredibly proud of her husband Glenn, a police officer in Adams County and Kennewick for a combined 31 years, and loved him more then anything in this world. They filled their early life together with family camping trips, kids sporting events, and amazing holidays. Jody was a wonderful mother to her three children, and never missed an opportunity to support and cheer for their accomplishments. She was the loudest person in every gym and on every field.

Jody was a hard worker her whole life. She held jobs as a Physical Therapy Assistant, Volunteer (Adams Co.) EMT and EMT Instructor, and an office manager for two Orthodontist offices. She volunteered as an EMT for Columbia Basin Dive Rescue after moving to the Tri-Cities in 1994 and helped countless people during her career.

Jody loved being Grandma JoJo to her eleven beautiful grandkids and dedicated all of her free time to supporting their sports, competitions, and hobbies. JoJo was our "Christmas Grandma" and our family holidays revolved around her home, her generosity, and her love. JoJo was fun, full of life, and loved her family above all else. We will miss her so much.

Jody is survived by her husband Glenn; sons, Tony (Kristen) and Sean (Sarah); daughter Kaelen (Jeff) Ripplinger; 11 beautiful grandchildren; Kai, Kael, Rylei, Dre, Jordan, McKenna, Katy, Jadyn, Jacob, Connor and Ashlynn; brothers Jay, Denny, Jeff, and Bruce; sisters Nancy, Sandy, and Tracy and her best friend Linda Tripp. She was preceded by both her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Jody on Friday, March 10, 2023, starting at 3:00 p.m. at CG Public House, 9221 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick, WA.
