Joyce Ione Beswick, 88, passed away August 25, 2022 in Kennewick, WA surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 20, 1934 to Ethelbert Hosmer and Grace Ione (Field) Graham in Los Angeles, California. On November 28, 1959, Joyce married Henry Keith Beswick in the Los Angeles LDS temple. Joyce and Keith lived in southern California until they retired and moved to Kennewick in 1997 to be near their children and grandchildren. After her children were all in school, Joyce began working in the aerospace industry, retiring from Lockheed Martin in 1997. When she needed a bachelor's degree to get a promotion, she began taking classes to finish the degree she had begun at BYU many years before. In her 50's she proudly earned her bachelor's degree and received the promotion she sought. With that promotion in hand, she promptly bought herself a new red Ford Mustang. Joyce was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a Relief Society president when she had three young children and again in her 70's. She loved leading music in church and teaching the Primary children. She and Keith served as temple workers in Seattle and later in the Columbia River temple. She spent many years working on her family history and helping other people all over the world via the Church's telephone support network. Several years ago when she could no longer get around, she began calling members of her ward and singing them Happy Birthday. She made hundreds of calls, many to people she had never met. She loved to knit and crochet and made hundreds of baby hats and balls which she donated to local hospitals. She passed on this love of crochet to her daughter, daughters-in-law, and grand-daughters. Joyce is survived by her husband, Keith; sons Eric (Elaine) Beswick of Kennewick, Mark (Melissa) Beswick of Caldwell, Idaho, and daughter Julie (Rick) Ross of Kennewick; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
