Karel (Corky) Damian Hutfles, 89, died peacefully with family by his side on November 20, 2024, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WA. Corky was born on May 13, 1935, to William and Margaret (Stallbaumer) Hutfles in Centralia, KS. Corky graduated from Kelly High School in Kelly, KS. He married Gladys Mae Burdick on October 11, 1958. The couple was blessed with four children: Michael Hutfles, Geralyn (David) Webb, Douglas Hutfles, and Carol (Greg) Brandner.

Corky was proud of the time he served his country throughout the years in the U.S. Army, the Army National Guard, and the U.S. Army Reserves. Joining the Knights of Columbus in 1954, he was also a 4th Degree Knight and served as past Grand Knight of the Pasco Council. Some of his many hobbies were tinkering in his shop, enjoying his Massey Ferguson tractor, and growing a bountiful garden. He spent many Sunday afternoons watching his beloved Kansas City Chiefs play football.

Corky is survived by his wife, Gladys, of 66 years, his children, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He joins his parents William and Margaret; brother, Eldon Hutfles, sisters; Geraldine Hermesch, Marcelline Tangeman, and Coletta Tinley in eternal rest.

A rosary will be held on December 16th at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1320 W Henry St, Pasco, WA. An Interment will follow the funeral mass at Columbia River Gardens Cemetery, 224 S 24th Ave, Pasco, WA. A reception will follow the interment at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
