Louie Richard Sullins (77) of Kennewick, Washington, passed away on November 16, 2023, surrounded by loving family. Louie, fondly known as (Rich) was born to Louie Reese and Bertha Belle Sullins on July 26, 1946 in Blount County, Alabama. When he was a kid growing up, he loved fishing and hunting and was a talented athlete who played football for McAdory High School. He attended college until he enlisted in the U.S. Air force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in Southeast Asia and bases in Washington State, Idaho, Maine and Puerto Rico throughout his military career. Fairchild Air Force Base in Airway Heights, Washington is where he met his wife Vickie of (56) years. After his time in the military, he worked for the Spokesman Review as a circulation district manager until taking a transfer position to the Tri Cities, where he continued his role as circulation district manager for the Tri-City Herald until his retirement in 2010. During his time in Tri Cities, Louie continued his passion for sports by coaching his boys in football as an assistant coach for the Colts Grid Kids football program and for the Kennewick American little league baseball team, Zip's. Louie enjoyed spending his free time coaching and teaching his sons and other young kids. He believed that the sport of winning wasn't necessarily about winning the game, as it was more important about making sure the kids enjoyed the game and had a chance to play. He continued to love sports and followed his 5 grandsons' sporting events throughout the years. There wasn't a game he would miss until the past few years when it became too difficult for him to go. Louie is survived by his wife Vickie and their three sons Craig, John, and Keith and their spouses and Children. Oldest son Craig (Debbie) and his three boys Jacob, (Emily). Levi, (Jeniece) and her daughter Remi, Great Grandson Kayden and his mother Jenna and sister Kaleia. Joshua (Kayla) (Debbie's) son Robbie (Allison) and their two children Brody and Madison. His Second son John (Michelle) and their two boys Tanner and Trenton. And His third son Keith (Peggy) and her daughter Paxton(Chance) and Calliope. He is also survived by his two sisters, Edna and Rita and several extended family members. There will be a celebration of life in the spring. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends!
