Luis Cortes,

Beloved father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend Luis "Wicho" Cortes passed away in his sleep at home Friday, January 27th. His passing, while numbing brings us solace as we know he is once again at peace and looking over us. He was born and raised in Pasco and graduated from Pasco High in 2007 where he won a state title in soccer. He was a talented young man who easily moved into the construction trade and produced work he was proud of, but his proudest and most beautiful creations were his two beautiful babies, Luis Cortes II and Sofia Cortes. So many amazing memories have been created by him and they will be continued to be shared with & through his children. They will know that their father had an amazing heart. He loved hanging out with his primos and friends that were like brothers. Growing up you could find him on the soccer field with his Padrino Víctor and dad Juan. The best stories of Wicho are ones of him laughing, joking and always willing to help.

You could hear Wicho's laugh from miles away. He ran around at gatherings helping set up, serve, clean up, always being the guy you can rely on. He was a gentleman. When he was around you knew a joke was coming followed by a "why lie" & his contagious laugh. He loved listening to music and a tocada was a good time. All the great memories of him include laughing, and bringing a ray of light into the room.

We want him to be remembered in the light. Keep those moments of joy in your memories of him. Luis leaves behind his parents, Juan "La Chiva" and Corina Perez. His siblings Corina Gutierrez, Gabriel Gutierrez and the Mario to his Luigi, "slimer" Mario Cortes. He leaves numerous cousins, friends and pieces of his heart, Luis and Sofia Cortes.

Amado padre, hijo, hermano, sobrino, primo y amigo Luis "Wicho" Cortés falleció mientras dormía en su casa el viernes 27 de enero. Su fallecimiento, mientras nos adormece, nos brinda consuelo, ya que sabemos que una vez más está en paz y nos cuida. Nació y creció en Pasco y se graduó de Pasco High en 2007, donde ganó un título estatal de fútbol. Era un joven talentoso que se movió fácilmente en el comercio de la construcción y produjo un trabajo del que estaba orgulloso, pero sus creaciones más orgullosas y hermosas fueron sus dos hermosos bebés, Luis Cortés II y Sofía Cortés. Tantos recuerdos increíbles han sido creados por él y continuarán siendo compartidos con y a través de sus hijos. Sabrán que su padre tenía un corazón increíble. Le encantaba salir con sus primos y amigos que eran como hermanos. Al crecer lo podías encontrar en la cancha de fútbol con su Padrino Víctor y papá Juan. Las mejores historias de Wicho son las de él riéndose, bromeando y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Se podía escuchar la risa de Wicho a kilómetros de distancia. Corría en las reuniones ayudando a preparar, servir, limpiar, siempre siendo el tipo en el que puedes confiar. Él era un caballero. Cuando estaba cerca, sabías que vendría una broma seguida con su dicho "why lié" y su risa contagiosa. Le encantaba escuchar música y una tocada era un buen momento. Todos los grandes recuerdos de él incluyen reír y una buena vibra. Queremos que sea recordado en la luz que brillaba entre el. Guarda esos momentos de alegría en tus recuerdos de él.
