Lydia Johanna Olson, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 7, 2006. She was born on August 12, 1917 in Sioux Agency Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the fourth child born to John Hustad and Randina Stettedahl Hustad. She spent her childhood growing up on a farm in Minnesota, plowing the fields with her brother, Obert. She loved baking and spending time with her mom. She went to school in a one-room schoolhouse in Sioux Agency, Minnesota. She married Palmer Olson April 16, 1938, and lived in Echo, Minnesota for two years. The came west and settled in Pasco, Washington. Four children were born to this union. Her daughter, Andrea Wulff, Kennewick; son, David Olson Nanette of Kennewick; daughter, Sandra Biggs Skip of Beaverton, Oregon, and son, Robert Olson of Coeur D?Alene, Idaho all survive her. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a fourth on the way. She is also survived by two sisters, Lillian Smith and Emma Schoer and numerous nieces and nephews. Lydia was a homemaker who loved to bake and was known for her caramel sweet rolls, bread especially brown raisin bread, pies and lefsa. She lived in Pasco for fifty-seven years until moving to Richland Guardian Angel. Lydia was a member of the Pasco First Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, by her husband, Palmer Olson, two sisters and one brother and an infant grandson, Mark Paul Wulff. Services will be officiated by John Hergert of the Pasco First Lutheran Church. They will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Center, 9353 W. Clearwater Ave, Kennewick. on Tuesday, April 11, at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Monday, April 10, from 4-7 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Center. Interment will follow the services at City View Cemetery, 1115 N. California, Pasco.
